Ms. Jay Prasad

Jay Prasad is an experienced tutor with over 20 years of successfully teaching the Ontario curriculum to hundreds of students. With a Masters in Physics and a Minor in Mathematics, Ms. Jay has transformed the lives of many students, enabling them to reach academic heights.

At Winners Academy, all tutors are qualified and certified teachers with strong subject knowledge. We use the best resources available for the Ontario curriculum, ensuring our students receive instruction that is both rigorous and up to date.

Her students have been accepted into the International Baccalaureate (I.B.), I.B.T, SciTech, and Advanced Placement programs all across the Greater Toronto Area. She has also prepared students for Mathematics competitions, such as the Gauss, Mathematica, and Beaver contests — and most of her students have come out with distinctions.

Teaching Style

Ms. Jay works from an empathetic, student-centered approach, where all learners are treated with respect and care. She is especially empathetic when students first come to her and are struggling.

The strength of Ms. Jay's teaching comes from her flexibility. She meets every student at their level and does not stick rigidly to particular resources and curricula, but creates individualized learning plans for each student.

For students who struggle with foundational concepts, Ms. Jay is quickly able to strengthen their understanding and catch them up to their current grade levels and even beyond.

Jay truly believes that learning is fun and hopes to inspire that same love, curiosity, and enthusiasm in her students to support them in their lifelong learning journeys.
